Meet our Vice Principal

Shannon Abraham is beginning his first full year as the Vice Principal of Bartlett High School and his third year as an administrator.  Before coming to Bartlett, he served 16 years as a high school science teacher and basketball coach.   As a teacher, he taught IB Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science.   Prior to becoming a teacher, Mr. Abraham worked as an environmental scientist for the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality.  

 

Vice Principal Abraham is currently in charge of curriculum and instruction for Bartlett High School.  Fundamentally the Vice Principal is responsible for academic standards and their attainment.  Additionally, the Vice Principal is responsible for curriculum development, teaching and learning standards, teacher performance, and student progress.

 

Mr. Abraham is highly involved in the school’s STEM program and actively participates in Canstruction, an engineering competition hosted at the University of Memphis.  He also enjoys being a chaperone for the school’s annual band trip.
