Mission Statement
The mission of the GSA is to work towards a more accepting environment for all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, through education, support, social action and advocacy. We believe that schools can be truly safe only when every student is assured of access to an education without fear of harassment or violence. The BHS GSA welcomes all students.
The GSA will attempt to carry out the mission statement by...
- raising awareness of anti-LGBTQQ harassment in our school and society
- providing a safe, supportive space for marginalized students.
- educating LGBTQQ students on a variety of topics not included in traditional education, such as LGBTQQ history, scholarships, etc.
