What is Student Council?

 

Student Council is an organization conducted by student leaders and supervised by an adult sponsor.  The purpose of Student Council is to provide leadership, and to serve the student body, the school, and the community. 

 

 

The Student Council helps share students' ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and school administration. They often also help raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects, and helping people in need.

 

Who can be in Student Council?

Student Council is open to students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade at Bartlett High School.  In order to represent the appropriate grade-level as a Student Council Representative, a completed application must be turned in by the designated due date.  Candidates must obtain three recommendations from teachers.  In addition, students must submit a transcript with a GPA that is no lower than a 2.75 and the must maintain an E in conduct.

When does Student Council meet? Bartlett High Student Council meets after the school day every Monday.

 

What types of projects does Student Council do?

Most of the projects completed by Bartlett High Student Council are service-oriented.  Student Council coordinates activities such as, Homecoming, two Lifeblood Blood Drives, Bellamy Baskets, Links of LUV, Winterfest, and King of Hearts
