At the beginning of the twentieth century, which group was best

2. We will accomplish the following standard (14) by answering the questions below for each 

(label the next section of #Unit 2 Prog Era with standard 14 below)

 

14:Citing textual evidence as appropriate, explain the significant roles 

played by muckrakers and progressive idealists, including Robert La Follette, 

Theodore Roosevelt, Ida Tarbell, Lincoln Steffens, and Upton Sinclair

 

-Intro questions: What were the goals of the Progressives?

-For each person in the standard above: Explain how were they a Muckraker or

 a Progressive Idealist based on information/evidence you

 find in the article or bio. Include a citation of the evidence using parentheses

of just the base name from the website you took it from. Example (biography.com). 

3-5 sentences for each person. Be specific!

 last week (where you talked about the "Story of One" TED talk), and compare your response with your group.

1. BR: Get out evidence for debate and review/share findings with group

2. Constitution debate (test/project grade 15 points: 1 point for each reason-2 each for evidence to support it-1 each for citing a proper source, 3 points for stating the argument clearly)

3. Reflection: Name an amendment other than your own that you believe was supported by strong evidence. What made that evidence so strong?

4. Turn in Evidence to the bin

highly recommend to use the format I texted out, need to explain HOW the change impacted the

 U.S.-DO NOT JUST RESTATE THE AMENDMENT AS ONE OF YOUR POINTS OR AS EVIDENCE

Honors U.S. Agenda 8/10 (Const. Debate Intro)

1. BR: Sit in the desk that has your scantron in it (it has your name on it).

How do you research a topic? Where do you look first?

How do you know a source is credible and unbiased? Discuss with your group.
