My name is Jonathan Easley, I am located in B-1 and I teach the following subjects:
 
Principles of Manufacturing
Principles of Engineering and Technology
Machining 1&2
 
Principles of Manufacturing Syllabus
 
This course explores the various aspects of modern manufacturing.
 
Method of instruction:
  Lecture, Demonstration, peer tutoring and guest instructors. 
 
Course Objectives:
  The learner will be able to ID all phases of the modern manufacturing process.
  The learner will be able to explain and discuss statistical and practical quality control.
  The learner will understand the relationship between modern manufacturing and automation.
  The learner will be able to use their knowledge of the material process to simulate the use of raw materials 
  through to the finished product.
 
Text and required supplies:
  Textbooks will be provided.
 
Grading:
100-93=A
 92-85=B
 84-75=C
 74-70=D
 96-0=F
 
 Test will count as 20%
  Quizes will count 10%
  Practical demonstration will count 50%
  Participation will count 20%
 
Any test, quiz or practical demo can be made up or redone for better grade until the last week of the grading period. 
 
Expectations:
  All students will be expected to participate everyday.
 
Principles of Engineering and Technology
 
This course explores the fields of Engineering and Technology.
 
Method of instruction:
Lecture, Demonstration, peer tutoring and guest instructors.
 
Course Objectives:
  The learner will pass all basic safety test with a score of 100%.
  The learner will research and define each term within STEM.
  The learner will as part of a team, develop a written explanation of how engineering benefits society as a 
  whole.
  The learner will complete a simple design project and use engineering principles to analyze their product.
  The learner will learn to use basic industry standard precision measuring devices.
 
Text and required supplies:
Textbooks will be provided.
 
Grading:
100-93=A
92-85=B
84-75=C
74-70=D
96-0=F

Test will count as 20%
Quizes will count 10%
Practical demonstration will count 50%

Machining I
 
This course explores the theories and applications of modern machining.
 
Method of instruction:
Lecture, Demonstration, peer tutoring and guest instructors.
 
Course Objectives:
  The learner will pass all basic safety test with a score of 100%.
  The learner will apply all safety lessons daily.
  The learner will trace the evolution of machine technology and describe how this has affected the work force,
  production and society.
  The learner will examine and interpret mechanical drawings.
  The learner will in a team setting, draw on multiple resources to research and explain destructive testing.
 
Text and required supplies:
Textbooks will be provided.

Machining II
 
This course is a more in depth continuation of Machining I.
 
Method of instruction:
Lecture, Demonstration, peer tutoring and guest instructors.
 
Course Objectives:
  The learner will pass all basic safety test with a score of 100%.
  The learner will apply all safety lessons daily.
  The learner will manage and safely operate lathes and Mills.
  The learner will transition from manual machining operations to CNC automated machining.
 
Text and required supplies:
Textbooks will be provided.

Grading:

92-85=B

74-70=D
96-0=F

Test will count as 20%
Quizes will count 10%
Practical demonstration will count 50%
Participation will count 20%
