U.S. Government and Civics Honors will trace American Government from its founding to the present. The class will look at significant historical documents such as the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Federalist Papers, and the U.S. Constitution. The class will also focus the federal structure of the American government, including responsibilities of the national and state governments. Civil liberties and civil rights issues and court cases will also be addressed.
