Night Unit Test--Study Guide

The unit test over the book Night will be on Wednesday, October 7th.  This study guide will help students prepare.  This study guide is NOT for a grade, but 10 bonus points will be awarded for completion with fidelity.  Completed study guides must be turned in to turnitin.com no later than 7AM on October 7th.  All submissions MUST be originals.

Feel free to use this audio alongside the text version of Night.  If you plan to use this audio book, I strongly recommend that you write down where you leave off each day.  This way you can fast-forward the next day and pick up right where you left off.

Text to Speech for Macs!

For those of you who prefer to have quizzes, assignments, tests, etc, read to you, there is an accessibility feature on your school computer.
 
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, then click Speech. Select the “Speak selected text when the key is pressed” checkbox. By default, speaking is enabled when you press Option-Esc.

Curve assessments have a timer at the bottom of your test/quiz. Please keep track of your time. Curve will kick you out of the assessment once time runs out.

I will be hosting Zoom office hours for extra support every Tuesday from 9:40- 10:15 am. These office hours are for any questions you may have or for additional support you may need. The Zoom link is posted on my Curve page. You may also email me for the Zoom link!

What to do in the first few days of school

Listed below is what you will need to do for the first few days of school.  This will help get you back into a nice routine.  YOU WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO LOG IN TO CLEVER AND CURVE.
 
Monday, August 17:
  • Group A (Mondays and Wednesdays)
    • You will meet in person on Monday.  Report directly to 1st period.  If you do not know your schedule, report to the auditorium.
  • Group B (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
    • You are working virtually today.  Login to your Clever account.  From there, you will need to access each of your individual Curve class's.  Answer each class's attendance question and check to see what assignment(s) your teachers have posted.  You do NOT have to join a Zoom today, but some teachers might allow it.
  • Group C (100% virtual)
    • Login to your Clever account.  From there, you will need to access each of your individual Curve class's.  Answer each class's attendance question and check to see what assignment(s) your teachers have posted.
Tuesday, August 18:
  • Group A (Mondays and Wednesdays)
    • You are working virtually today.  Login to your Clever account.  From there, you will need to access each of your individual Curve classes.  Answer each class's attendance question and check to see what assignment(s) your teachers have posted. You do NOT have to join a Zoom today, but some teachers might allow it.
  • Group B (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
