The National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes student achievement. Opportunity for selection into the Bartlett High School Cathlena Briggs Chapter of NHS is offered to qualified juniors or seniors during the spring semester of each year. Students with a 4.0 or above weighted grade point average are eligible for consideration. Students interested in NHS should begin preparation during the freshman year so as to have a demonstrated record of scholarship, leadership, service, and character by the spring of junior year. Students should work to meet the following criteria:

Maintain an overall 4.0 or higher weighted GPA
Demonstrate academic achievement through success in advanced classes over the course of their high school career.
Participate in a variety of school activities
Volunteer for leadership positions in their chosen activities
Run for class and club offices
Participate in community service
Maintain a good rapport with teachers, administrators, and school staff
Maintain an excellent discipline record and a reputation for courtesy, kindness, and willingness to serve

Membership in NHS is by invitation only. It is the one of the highest honors our school awards.
