Bartlett High School

Welcome SENIORS - Class of 2018!!
I am VERY EXCITED to be your counselor again this year and am looking forward to helping you in any way I can. This is my 10th year at Bartlett High School and I LOVE being a panther!
A little bit about me:  I received both my bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (Go Vols) and am a Nationally Certified Counselor.  I am a Bartlett resident, have been married to my wonderful husband TJ for 7 years, and together we have 2 sons, Sam and Hank.  Being a mom has been my greatest blessing and I always try to treat my students with the same love, respect, understanding, and high expectations as I do with my boys.
As most of you know, the guidance office is located in the A Building, 2nd floor. My office is the 3rd door on the right. If I am unavailable to meet with you when you come, please sign the book outside my door and I will call for you. Parents, if you need to contact me or schedule a parent/teacher conference, feel free to call or email me.
As your school counselor, I am here to assist you in academic advising and assistance, college/career readiness and any personal/social issues you may be facing.  I am here to help you and expect you to follow the 3 rules of self:  self-control, self-reliance, and self-advocacy.  Control your behavior, own your due dates and mistakes, and ask for help from your teachers (and me).
I encourage each of you to give your all for Bartlett this year by joining a club, playing a sport, and/or volunteering in our community. See me if you’d like some suggestions for community service right here in Bartlett.
 Let's have a GREAT year!
~Mrs. Beck
