Week 1
Overview:
Welcome back. I hope everyone had a restful and fun time off for winter break. BTW, Happy New Year. I am not going to Jinx it, so, let us just jump right back into the swing of things. Starting a new unit; Absorption and Excretion. We will ramp up, but do not get behind we will start adding material daily.

4 Jan - Students are off 😊. Curve files are open for those wanting to get a jump on the material
5 Jan - Discovery Stations, pgs.3-6 Notetaker. Concept 1 vocabulary start
6 Jan - Finish Discovery Stations and Concept 1 Vocab, write-up/ out definitions
7 Jan - Start Concept 1 notetaking, turn in Discovery Stations & Vocab
8 Jan - Concept 1 Vocab Quiz
16-18 Dec – Follow Exam schedule posted by BHS

Week 2
Overview:
As we continue with digestion. We will not do the page 11 activity. We will do the Children’s Book on page 12 and 13. We will finish Concept 1 by turning in the concept objective questions, class time will be given and give time this week to complete the book. The book must be completed this week and for online, we will need three at a minimum that I can read in Zoom. Early work is graded preferentially.
Week at a Glance:
11 Jan – Complete the Concept 1 objective questions, 1-15. Concept 2 slides are available if you want to work ahead.
12 Jan – Review rubric and assignment for Children’s Book, pages 12 & 13. This is going to be altered to allow 100% digital submission, but hard copy can be turned in by both in person and online students as well.
13Jan – Class time devoted to Children’s Book
14 Jan – Class time devoted to Children’s Book
15 Jan – Story Time. Reading Hour, we will read our books. Be prepared…Our goal is to read three submissions and see what level of mastery we can achieve

Week 3
Overview:
The Children’s Book was due last week. I am taking them late, but they are 10% off each day. Leaving Concept 1, we will start the with Quiz 1, a vocabulary quiz. Then, notes then a WebQuest on page 14. Followed up with Concept 2 note taking and Objectives & vocabulary.
Week at a Glance:
19 Jan – Take Concept 1 Quiz, email me the answers or a pic of your completed pdf. Start the WebQuest on pages 14-17 of your notetaker “From Food to Fuel”, this is a two-day assignment.
20 Jan – Continue working on the WebQuest “From Food to Fuel” on pages 14-17.
21 Jan – Complete notes for Concept 2 independently. Work on Objective questions and vocab. Quiz and assignment due date will follow early next week.
22 Jan – Research and Report: Vitamins & Minerals, students will pick one of the vitamins and/or minerals and complete an online excel document. Then, using peer found information, students will be able to complete all the information on the listed vitamins and minerals. I will brief Hybrid A & B students on 20&21 Jan in class.
