Essential Vocabulary

At the beginning of each section of your textbook there is a list of highlighted vocabulary that you will see in that section. I have gone through each section and made my own list that is smaller so that it emphasizes the standards and units associated with the TN Curriculum. When you are assigned Essential vocabulary to define, go to this list first and then look in the textbook for which section it is in.  Use the textbook definition for best results on quizzes, tests, and accuracy. The definition should have what the term is and why it is most significant to our course. It should be distinct to make the term stand out (telling me they were the 33rd president is not a good definition). This list mostly goes by chapter but will occasionally jump around by unit.  You are to do these on the notecards you got for this class.
