Week of Nov. 20 - 22
Monday, Nov. 20 - There will not be Vocabulary words this week. Students will begin working on the Short Story Test. They can work on it in class today, tonight for homework, and tomorrow in class. It is due at the end of class Tuesday. Directions are as follows:
- Using the strip of paper, create a comic strip for one of the short stories that we read.
- Put the title and the author’s name in the first square.
- In the next 5 squares, draw pictures that will show the 5 main parts of the story. Do NOT use stick figures.
- Be sure that your pictures are colored (VERY colorful) and neat.
- Include a brief explanation of what is happening - or - include dialogue in each square in black ink.
- Comic strip will be graded on neatness, imagination, creativity, and your pictures must follow the plot of the story. Outline your pictures in black ink so that they will show up better.
- You are to start on your comic strip today in class, and finish it in class tomorrow. It is due at the end of class tomorrow Tuesday).
Tuesday, Nov. 21 - Students will continue working on Short Story Test/Project. The test/Project is due at the end of class today.
