Mrs. Riding's ART1 and Art 3 Honors

 

I love art and how it is everywhere in our lives. My goal is for students to be able to appreciate and have a better understanding of the artwork in the world around them. Art is a great way for people to express their emotions and to share their voices.

 

In Art1 we will cover the basics of the elements and principles of design. After students have a better understanding of these concepts and how to use them then we will be focusing on trying different mediums and exploring that voice each student has and what speaks to them. 

 

In Art 3 honors we will be expounding on the basics that have been taught in Art1 and 2 to create more finished and more meaningful works of art. This class will also prepare students for taking AP art their senior year. I will also be encouraging all students who are juniors and have not gone to governor's school to apply in the fall. This will be a fun in-depth art class to really help students to grow their talents. 

 

For all of my classes, students will be able to see assignments, announcements, and all class work in canvas. All projects will also be turned into canvas as well.
