Welcome students and parents to United States History and Geography!
I care deeply about making history come alive in our classroom. I want us to become engaged in the lives and events of those who have come before us. Winston Churchill said, "The farther backward you look, the farther forward you are likely to see. "The goal of this course will be for each of you not only to learn this era of history in detail, but to understand how patterns and events in history have led us to how we see the world today. I have a passion for all students to succeed. In our classroom being successful is defined as doing your best and striving to do better each day! If you ever have questions please don't be afraid to ask.
We will use Canvas as our online learning management system. You will find all course information and announcements in Canvas.
I know using an online forum you aren't familiar with can be overwhelming, so please do not hesitate to email if you have questions about your student's progress or assignments. My PowerSchool grade book is always up to date . Signing up for PowerSchool to send you alerts is also a good way to track your student's progress.
