Ms. Bower's Edlio Page: About Me

Hi!  I usually teach the more advanced art classes, this year I teach mostly Art 2 and the AP Drawing Portfolio. Here, I'll tell you a little about me.

 

I graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and An MA in Studio Art.

I received my MFA from the University of Memphis with a concentration in Photography and Printmaking.

Primarily I work as a printmaker and sell my work in galleries.

 

I've been teaching for nearly twenty years, but began teaching college. I taught part-time at the University of Memphis and Memphis College of Art. I grew up in Jonesboro, Arkansas. My husband John has his own business, Outdoor Lighting Concepts. He designs and installs outdoor accent lighting. I have a grown daughter who is also an artist and lives in LA. My husband and I LOVE animals and have lots of pets: cats, a dog, and three horses!

 

I have always liked to draw and work occasionally as a children's book illustrator which was one of my childhood dreams!  I am currently working on some of my own children's books.
