Early Childhood Education Careers I
Early Childhood Education Careers I (ECEC I) is a foundational course in the Education and Training career cluster. Careers in early childhood education include but are not limited to childcare providers, nannies, and preschool teachers. This course studies the foundation of childhood development services, careers, provider responsibilities and aptitudes, and fundamentals of child development. Students will create a course portfolio.
Our curriculum is developed to include some limited work experience by participation in our onsite preschool. I expect students to act in a professional manor at all times with the preschool students.
The nine weeks grades will be totaled using these weights:
30% Daily Work 20% Tests 20%Notebook 20% Lab 10% Professionalism
Students will need a 1 1/2 - 2 inch binder and 16 subject dividers for this class.
