Notes:             All notes should be in your notebook.  If you take notes on your computer,

you should print a hard copy for your notebook to keep everything together.

There are many times when you will complete work WITHOUT access to

I do not give extra credit to individual students – only to classes as a whole

Absentees:   Read Canvas Agenda. You are responsible for getting the notes, worksheets, etc… for what you missed.  Worksheets will be in a designated area in the classroom for you to pick up.  Use Canvas and find a friend if necessary to update you.

Retesting policy:  Anyone who fails a test or quiz may retake!  The highest grade that you may receive is a 60.  Retests/Make-ups must be completed before the deadline which will be announced.

Make-ups / Retesting:   WILL NOT BE GIVEN DURING THE SCHOOL DAY!

BEFORE ( 6:30 for short quizzes ) OR AFTER SCHOOL

Thursday will be make-up day, but this may vary throughout the year.  Prior notice will be given if there is a change.  There is a sign-up sheet in the room!  Adhere to deadlines throughout the year.

Late work:  You will NOT receive full credit for late work. If work is graded or gone over in class before you have turned yours in, you will be given an alternate assignment.

Extra help:  I arrive at school at 6:00 AM. You can enter the building at 6:30. If you need help before school, please make prior arrangements.  You may also come by after school to ask questions on days when I am not giving make-ups.

My classroom is a NO PHONE / NO EARBUD zone while I am teaching !!!!

Use of phones or earbuds at inappropriate times is insubordination.  I will email a parent or guardian 1st and then a disciplinary referral will be written on the next offense.

Basic classroom rules and procedures:

  • Be on time. Tardy rules will be enforced. (1 free, 2nd = email home, 3rd = referral...)
  • Enter the room quietly and sit in your assigned desk.
  • Do not get out of your desk without permission.

4)   Check the dry erase boards for daily directions.

       5)  Use your notebook/computer/phone to get important information about assignments, tests, quizzes, labs, make-ups, or deadlines.

       6)  Be on task for the whole class period.

       7)  No eating in class.

       8)  Be respectful to everyone in the room.

       9)  Cheating will not be tolerated.  Copying someone else’s work is cheating.  Use of a

phone during a test/quiz is cheating and will result in a 0.

Lab:

  • You must turn in a signed copy of the lab safety rules.
  • You must wear closed toe shoes to participate in lab. The maximum grade that you can get on a lab if you fail to wear the proper shoes is a 65.   Chronically “forgetting” proper footwear = 0!

Behavior:   Make good choices!  I have very high expectations of you and low tolerance for time wasted on behavioral issues.  All BHS policies will be enforced.  Please do not waste our time or embarrass yourself with disruptive behavior.

The information given to you may be modified or added to as new issues pop up.
