About Me

Over 15 years ago I made the transition from a career in nanotechnology R&D to teaching math. Although I brought in over $750,000 dollars in Federal research grants as a scientist, I get much greater satisfaction in teaching the next generation how to think more deeply about mathematics. I have been an item reviewer for the TNReady test for Algebra II, a TN Score Fellow, and a Teach for Tennessee Fellow.  My doctoral degree is in Polymer Engineering with a bachelors and masters in Chemical Engineering.

I have an amazing wife, Professora Schreiber, who teaches Spanish II at Bartlett High School.  A brilliant daughter who is a Senior at Mt Holyoke College studying neuroscience.

My wife and I love to do CrossFit and serving on the mission field together.  Every year we serve on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico and have also served internationally in Peru, Honduras, and Cuba.
